Description: In this attachment, I include an article mentioned about how Kentucky State Representative McKenzie Cantrell introduced a House Bill 243 to replace a bill that allows only Bible literacy courses with classes on ‘various religious texts of the many religions practiced in the state.’ She introduced this bill after I reached out to her to relay my concerns about the legislation that was approved in 2017 to teach Bible courses only in Kentucky public schools. I also went to the Capitol Hill to bring up this issue with Senator Mitch McConnell, the Minority Leader of the United States Senate, in November of 2019.
